Malcolm Clarke is in Addenbrookes with a head injury after he was
knocked out in a collision with another cyclist on Wednesday
evening. Yesterday (Saturday) he sat up, talked to his family for the
first time since the accident, and ate a decent meal, but it may be a
while before he is back cycling with the club

Tuesday 1st July saw seven members on a car assisted run to cycle the Harling Drove. It was a beautiful day with sunshine all the way. We started the ride from Santon Downham Forestry Office. George had told me that he had heard that they were charging for parking. He was partly right, they are charging £2 a time but only on Saturdays and Sundays. We rode through to Bridgham on the Drove, it was very dry and the sand was loose in a lot of places. We rode from Bridgham to Brettenham then on to Kilverstone Hall Garden Centre for lunch. After lunch we rode into Thetford and took the Brandon Road to Santon Downham. Ice Cream at the village shop and then home. Peter Rowell.
